Xtreme G2 is a not-for-profit Trust that aims to promote travel, adventure sports, cultural education, interdisciplinary research and design studies among students and youth.
Once or twice a year, Trust Xtreme G2 awards grants of up to Rs. 30,000/- for individual or teams of students to travel to mountainous regions in India and share their experiences with the architecture community and the wider public. The grant is open to undergraduate students of architecture at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, SMEF’s BRICK School of Architecture, Pune, and the School of Environment and Architecture (SEA), Mumbai.
The Trust is named after Jeetu, who is no more with us. We are friends of Jeetu.
Jeetu fed his fire to engage with art, exhibition and architecture in the city with his experiences in the hills and mountains. He was extreme yet balanced. A trained mountaineer, skier and avid biker, he traveled regularly to the mountains and mingled and worked with the local people.
We want to encourage students to continue to explore and be friends with the places, people, cultures and ideas that Jeetu was close to. By supporting yours and other’s travels in the mountains of India, we hope to foster and sustain our shared love for the mountains and its people.
The call for applications for the winter cycle of 2024-25 is now closed. We will soon contact those who applied, thank you very much.
